An update in photos

I took a slew of 'em- here they are...

Yesterday, we painted the office!
I love this colour, called Olive Chartreuse:
yummy paint-olive chartreuse

The walls, although a nice beige were so *not* me nor very Hula-la. My attempt to be city slicker uber clean and streamlined chic didn't work. I'm just not that way as much as I try.
See? Blah.

So we took care of *that*.

Much better no? I know green isn't everybody's cuppa but I love to work with it around me. It's so happy!

Today we reassembled the office. I needed some Maltesers as most of the day had many looming work deadlines too. I multi-tasked and did both. Maltesers are like little miracles wrapped in a tiny little ball. . .
yum

These are still on the to-do list to hang up.
still to do

I found this in the garage, my long lost sputnik clock. Unfortunately it is really loud and sounds like something is grating inside it so I left it unplugged and set it to 5:00, since it's *always* 5:00 somewhere, you know what that means! Martini time!

It still needs some tidying but look how much better!
office is getting better

This morning I framed some of my favorite scrapbook paper, easy art! Cool no?

This wall I have named "The Cluster F*ck" wall. There are 3 requirements to allow a picture to hang on it:

cluster f*ck wall

1. It must be small. 5x7-ish or less-ish.
2. It must be weird, retro, or different. Some featured are nuns in bumper cars, 50's bowling pins, and old-time circus freaks.
3. The frame must hang crookedly or off kilter.

If you would like to donate something to the wall, please feel free! I do accept donations....

Yes I know I'm weird. that's how I work ok?

After getting all that done, and dealing with a client who is in China and needing several rush rush jobs completed to meet the morning on China time, I took some photos outside.
First, our mystery tree. I think it looks kind of like some kind of dogwood. Anybody who can tell me what it is? I can't seem to find an answer anywhere...

I got this funky old wrought iron plant stand from my gran's house and we got a pot & planted it with a bunch of little flowers & such. My gran was really into the pots of plants everywhere so I think it's nice to have, in her honour.

Norm thinks he's funny...

And here's one of the planters we put together for out back on the patio.

And the bleeding heart that Carol gave us- he's very happy in his new home- thanks so much again Carol!

Lastly, our poor sad patio set waiting for sun. Come on sun! You can do it!

We are waiting for better weather to have our housewarming part-ay. It wouldn't be much of a house-"warming" when it's cold and rainy would it? Hopefully soon.

And that's it for today!

You're right, it's a dogwood. Maybe a Pink Japanese Dogwood. Maybe :)

Lovely! Your place is really coming together.

I know what you mean about the sun. Come out already! I'm freezing!

I hope you & Norm have a most excellent weekend.

Our patio set is almost the same as yours. Where did you get yours? Ours is from Zellers, lol.

I will send you some pictures (sans frames sorry) in our bday swap package. I have some retro postcards that I think would look AWESOME on your wall.

Love the Olive Chartreuse color, and your office is looking fabulous. Love the way it's set up. My office is like 1/8 the size of yours it seems! LOL
